Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification
The US Department of Defense (DOD) initiated the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) to enhance and strengthen the cybersecurity posture of DOD contractors across the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).
Compliance with CMMC requires that 300,000+ existing DOD contractors, and new ones, undergo a detailed cybersecurity audit and certification at a level that is equal to the risk to the information within their care.
PECB as an official APP will offer its training materials through CMMC Licensed Training Providers. The examination and certification will be managed by CMMC AB. PECB will not offer examination and certification services to CMMC customers.
PECB has developed the CMMC Foundation course and is currently developing the CMMC Professional course to provide interested individuals with an overview of the CMMC model, for them to understand its advantages and the process of becoming officially certified. The training courses develop by PECB as a CMMC APP will be provided only be CMMC LTPs.
